About The Founder

"Hospitality first began for the Robertson family in 1878 with the first hotel in Central Otago opening as the Balmoral hotel. Following tradition Mark Robertson has spent many years working his way through the ranks both in New Zealand and abroad in hospitality. His excellent skills and attitude led him to work in such leading establishments as Tiffanys and Gordon Ramsays restaurant in North America. Mark is an easy person to chat with, enjoys the outdoors and meeting people from different walks of life.
